Land Management
Land management is not only beneficial to improve or clear construction sites, but it can also help with reducing the risk of wildfires. At Upper Valley Contracting, we provide the equipment and experience to help you stay in control of your property.
Benefits of Land Management
There are many reasons why people need help with land management. As an excavation business, we offer unique approaches to ensure a safe and improved area. Some land management we can help with includes:
- Vegetation & Risk Management – With more growth and dead vegetation, an area is put at higher risk for wildfires. Reducing or clearing the organic matter provides a safer, more healthy landscape.
- Construction Site Preparation – If a site is going to be built upon, then rocks, stumps, bushes, weeds, and other debris can cause problems for foundation-laying. By properly clearing the area, it can provide for safer and longer-lasting construction.
- Agriculture & Ranching – Unmanaged land can cause problems with irrigation, fencing, growing crops, and grazing. To guarantee the best area for your farm and ranch, it’s best to get the land under control.
- Erosion & Water Management – Stabilizing the land can help prevent risks like erosion, landslides, or flooding. Land management can help create retaining walls, drainage systems, and more compact earth for a better environment.
- Road & Infrastructure Maintenance – It’s important to maintain trails, logging roads, roadways, highways, and driveways to ensure the safest travel and navigation.

What They Are Saying
Some of Our Projects
Our excavation work has brought us all over the United States doing a variety of kinds of projects. Here are a few of our prior land management projects:

Maintained 90 miles of dirt and gravel roads by cleaning ditches, re-establishing road crowns, hauling and compacting road base, and adhering to FP14 standards. - Salmon-Challis National Forest Seafoam Road Maintenance (Seafoam Road, Stanley, ID)
